Ascending along the cliff, just before reaching the Falconiera Fortress, you’ll come across the Rivellino di San Giuseppe outpost, built by the Bourbons in 1804 as an advance post of the Falconiera stronghold. Initially inhabited by Commander Di Bartolo, the outpost was later occupied by the Germans during the final years of World War II. After a period of abandonment, it underwent restoration.<\/p>\n
Comprising two small buildings and a terrace surrounding the central structure, the outpost is encircled by a defensive wall. Strategically positioned in a privileged location, it offers a spectacular panoramic view of the island’s northern coast, encompassing Tramontana, Cala Giacone, and the surrounding park, providing breathtaking sunsets and endless sea
