The Doctor’s Rock is a small rock formation that emerges about half a mile northwest of Ustica Island, in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its name comes from a dialectal adaptation of the term “Homeric Rock.” Located in Zone B of Ustica’s Marine Protected Area (MPA), it is a short distance from the protected area’s integral zone. The Doctor’s Rock is essentially a lava formation that slopes gradually towards the seabed, with more or less steep inclines depending on the side. When navigating at sea, this dive site is clearly visible but can only be reached by boat or dinghy. Thanks to its size and configuration, it offers various underwater routes for diving enthusiasts who choose this area for their dive
