The Project USTUM CULTURAL PROGRAMME
The USTUM CULTURAL PROGRAMME Project is a cultural and social regeneration project by the Municipality of Ustica, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU as part of the PNRR, Mission 1 – Digitalization, innovation, competitiveness, and culture, Component 3 – Culture 4.0 (M1C3) Measure 2 “Regeneration of small cultural sites, cultural, religious, and rural heritage” – Investment 2.1 “Attractiveness of historic villages”.
Through the project’s initiatives, the Municipality of Ustica aims to implement a development strategy focused on the island’s resources and attractions, and by actively involving the community.
Beginning with the enhancement of cultural heritage both tangible and intangible, using innovative digital tools
By integrating the existing productive and tourism sectors
Organizing a program of multidisciplinary artistic events
Project objectives
The Ustum Cultural Program aims to create an integrated tourism offering focused on environmental sustainability and biodiversity preservation. Building on existing resources, it also triggers a new development process that leverages human capital for the creation of a community enterprise as a catalyst for local regeneration.
